As part of my exploration of therapeutic benefits of performance art I created a trilogy of performances harnessing different practical approaches to quantify my results.
Using the embodied memory theory which claims that memories are embedded and stored in our bodies; these have been successfully recalled by stimulating the same sensorimotor patterns as at the time of codifying. I use this to restimulate these memories in a different setting in hopes to overwrite the traumatic memories into ones of me performing.
